From the Army to AI

I’m Jet “The AI Vet.” I started my career as a U.S. Army sergeant in Special Operations communications, where I learned to solve problems under pressure and lead teams that had to deliver when it mattered most.

After the military, I became a software engineer and one of the earliest field engineers at high-growth startups. At Fivetran, I helped scale the company from ~$20M to $300M+ in revenue and a $5.6B valuation. At Atlan, I was the first field engineering hire and helped drive it to unicorn status.

The Road to The AI Vets

I learned disciplined problem-solving in the U.S. Army, where I served as a sergeant leading secure communications teams in Special Operations. Keeping comms up under pressure taught me how to stay calm, adapt quickly, and deliver results no matter the conditions.

When I transitioned into tech, I saw another gap: powerful AI tools that made sense to engineers but not to the people doing the actual work. I started building clear playbooks and teaching teams how to get results without coding.

That became The AI Vets—training, community, and coaching designed for hands-on professionals who want practical wins, fast.

Why I Do It

I believe AI should serve people, not just big tech or large corporations. By making AI skills simple and accessible, I help small businesses, tradespeople, and service professionals stay competitive, create stability, and strengthen local economies.

When everyday workers and business owners can use AI, they save time, earn more, and build stronger communities. Veterans, blue-collar workers, and small business leaders already know how to serve others and get things done—AI just gives them new tools to do it better.

My mission is to break down barriers so that more people can benefit from AI, creating opportunities that ripple outward to families, neighborhoods, and society as a whole.
