Serving Those Who Serve
From the Army to AI
I’m Jet Celaj, The AI Vet. My journey started in the U.S. Army, where I led secure communications teams at the Joint Communications Support Element and deployed multiple times alongside Special Operations. That’s where I learned how to stay calm under pressure, solve tough problems on the fly, and lead teams that had to deliver when it counted.
After leaving the military, I spent a few years as an engineer at the Pentagon before pursuing a new challenge in tech startups in Silicon Valley. At Fivetran, I saw what it takes to scale a company, helping it grow from $20M to $300M+ in revenue and hit a $5.6B valuation. Later at Atlan, I was the first field engineering hire and helped push the company to unicorn status.
The Road to The AI Vets
While serving in the Army, I gained critical problem solving skills, learned to deliver results under pressure, and developed the ability to break down complex engineering into clear and simple instructions. When I transitioned into tech, I noticed a major gap: AI tools were built for engineers and software developers, but most of the workforce isn’t made up of technical professionals. It’s small business owners, veterans moving into civilian careers, first responders, blue-collar workers, and others who don’t have a technical background.
I set out to close that gap. I began by helping the people closest to me, family and friends who I knew could benefit from AI but didn’t have the time or interest to learn coding or complex systems. I built training that was easy to follow, stripped of unnecessary jargon, and focused on practical skills they could use right away.
That effort grew into The AI Vets. A platform of courses, community, and coaching built for hands-on professionals who want real results, fast.
Why I Do It
I believe AI should serve people, not just big tech or large corporations. By making AI skills simple and accessible, I help small businesses, veterans, first responders, blue-collar workers, and others stay competitive, create stability, and strengthen local economies.
When everyday workers and business owners can use AI, they save time, earn more, and build stronger communities. Veterans, blue-collar workers, and small business leaders already know how to serve others and get things done, and AI gives them new tools to do it even better.
My mission is to break down barriers so more people can benefit from AI, creating opportunities that ripple out to families, neighborhoods, and communities everywhere.
